Our pastor, David A. Oester, was born Octrober 3, 1960 in Maryland, near the town of Accident, Maryland. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church, The Cove, MD.
He graduated from Northern High School in Accident, MD in June 1979, and enrolled in a Maintenance Technology program at Garrett College [night classes] while working during the day at Oester Brothers Farm and Home Supply Store, later known as Grantsville Feed & Supply.
Following the sale of the business in 2002, David began to prepare for the seminary by enrolling at Garrett College in order to meet the requirements at Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne, IN.
His vicarage year was spent in Steubenville, OH.
At a special service on April 23, 2008, David received the divine call to serve Christ Lutheran Church in Oil City, PA The graduation service was held on May 16, 2008 in Ft. Wayne.
David was installed as our pastor on July 20, 2008.
